Our Interventions

Legal Representation

We promote legal awareness, provide legal support and advocate for implementation of existing laws to ensure access to justice for all including those who are wrongfully convicted. We also organize campaigns against SGBV and other human violations and harmful practices against women and girls to ensure people have an understanding of their rights.

Empowerment

We create safe spaces that enable all people, including those who have been traditionally marginalized, to have a place at the table, and participate in the shaping of the decisions, policies, rules and conditions that affect their lives. The safe spaces also provide communities with the means to obtain quick information and legal knowledge through legal forums. We have supported projects on economic empowerment, SRHR campaigns, legal empowerment and leadership training for women and girls in the communities. We facilitate forums to increase human rights awareness, leadership in women and girls. We mobilize, Organize and strengthen capacity of grassroots change makers, elders and local authorities including chief, police and social workers and enhance citizen centered governance. We collaborate with other likeminded organizations to achieve our goal.

Girls Education

We aim to provide great opportunities for young girls by providing them with tools to keep them in school to prevent sexual abuse, period poverty and Early marriage. Every girl has the right to a safe environment, quality education and access to lifelong learning. Girls’ education goes beyond getting girls into school. It is also about ensuring that girls learn and feel safe while in school; have the opportunity to complete all levels of education, acquiring the knowledge and life skills necessary to navigate and adapt to the world; make decisions about their own lives; and contribute to their communities.

Policies

We are keen on policies, therefore participate in Influencing policies and Legislations. We advocate for their implementation and contribute to reforms of institutions. Laws alone are not enough to end unfair practices. We believe that any implementation of laws that affect women and girls should be based in consultation with civil society organizations, youth and women and local leaders. This complements and supports community-based efforts to change social and gender norms which drive violations. We drive the policy agenda and participate in the development of policies at both Community and National level.
